Esquisse 1: A RARE Concept


Esquisse Tasks

1. Form groups of 3-4 students
2. The main task is to design and build a prototype for the most adaptable space you can imagine. The aim is to create the most space using the least materials.
3. Construct a model using any materials that represents your prototype RARE space.
4. Exhibit your model in the studio. A selection of models will be discussed with the class.


Main Concept: the more you expand the more space it provides.


Materials used: one A1 paper


Method used: team work and paper folding

Results: In Conclusion, the paper folding method used for the final model was because the method complied with our main concept of the more you expand the more space it provides and to our advantage the method solve the solution of using the least materials for creating space.
